A Barefoot Contessa Inspired Holiday Menu
Anyone who knows me well knows that my idol is Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa. Yesterday was the first Christmas in my memory that was spent at home. While the change from the norm was bittersweet for my family, I was happy for the quiet quality time together, and to be in charge of menu planning and the kitchen. When it comes to entertaining, Ina is the queen, so my first place to turn to for the perfect holiday meal was my ever-growing stack of Barefoot Contessa cookbooks. Our menu for the evening consisted of the following recipes:
Ina's catch phrase "how easy is that" truly encapsulated this cooking experience. With the help of some wine and my mom and sister as sous chefs, our meal came together beautifully, stress-free, and was absolute perfection. While Christmas is over, this is a meal that can fit any special occasion, or even simply a Sunday night dinner. If these pics don't make you hungry, I don't know what will- I'm ready for leftovers!
