Premio Grilled Sausage Sandwich

Today I used @premiofoods Sweet Italian Sausage Patties to make a Grilled Sausage Sandwich. This recipe is quick and easy, and packs in the flavor. Next time I think I’ll add an egg and make this a breakfast sandwich!

Premio Grilled Sausage Sandwich

Ingredients

• 1 small Yellow Onion, chopped

• 3 Mini Bell Peppers, or 1 large Bell Pepper, chopped

• 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter

• 1 package Premio Sweet Italian Sausage Patties (4 pack)

• 1/2 cup Shredded Mozzarella, divided

• 4 Kaiser Rolls

• Hot Sauce (optional)

Directions:

1. Sauté 1 small onion and 3 mini bell peppers or one large bell pepper in 1 tbsp of butter. Put aside in a bowl.

2. Heat grill or grill pan on high, let preheat.

3. Place one package, 4 patties, of Premio Sweet Italian Sausage Patties on the grill.

4. Cook for 5 minutes then flip. Add 2 tbsp of shredded mozzarella on top of each patty.

5. Slice 4 kaiser rolls and place on grill for 3 minutes.

6. Remove rolls and place on a plate. Top with sausage patty and spoon onions and peppers on top.

7. Add any condiments you like- I use hot sauce. Enjoy!
